Hey guys. I am having problems with AIM ever since I installed it on my new computer. I went to the Oldversion.com site to ensure that I got a version of 5.5, so it would be compatible with JAWS 6.0. It is behaving erratically, however. Mostly it is good, but then an instant message window becomes impossible to navigate with the arrow keys. This did not happen with any of my previous installs. I used the ctrl shift w hot key specified in the JAWS help, but this has only limited effect. Further, AIM seems to somewhat impede my machine's general performance while it is running. I have occasionally heard from reputable sources that all AOL products adversely affect a computer's performance. Any thoughts on any of the above?
Thanks.
I'd be interested in a full removal and installation prosedure. When doing this, turn off the news and stock tickers in the options, and that should be good to go.
well, i got rid of it it didnt do what i told it too
